Writing a piece on pro-gay marriage, help? what are some points i should point out?
Okay so for English, I'm writing an opinion piece on why i believe Australia should legalize gay marriage, so if you're against it, don't bother answering my question.
Anyway, in my piece I'm basically looking at all the reasons why people DON'T think it should be legalized, and pointing out it's flaws. So far I've looked at Religion/Tradition, how it's not "biologically natural" and civil union. So is their anything else i should look at or add? Because i like the piece at the moment but i just thing it could be improved. Thanx for the help xx
- Gays pay taxes and work just like straight people
- It's unethical to deprive people of a human right
- Marriage was made by the Pagan religion, and they allowed gays. Let's go by their rules if anything.
- There should be a separation of church and state. Not sure if they have that in Australia, but we have it in America but somehow religion still gets in the way.
- If it's not hurting anyone, but is helping people, why not allow it?
It SHOULD be legalized.
