Im buying my first SDHC card for my first DSLR (600D). What is the difference between Class 6,8, 10?

I don't have a clue as to what size I even need. Will 16GB do? I actually want to make a short film in HD. How important is Class 10? WIll it upload to my computer faster or what? Why is it important? What does it mean? Im on eBay trying to buy one but im clueless. Help!

This any good. It has ok specs and is only 20$ but the brand name is unknown. Would you recommend?

You need class 6 or above for HD video. On most entry level cameras any extra speed is wasted except when you come to download the images if you have a fast card reader. With Pro end DSLR cameras using a class 10 card will extend the number of frames you can get on a burst, so if your camera can take 12 Raw frames at 7 frames per second you may get 15 or 16 before the buffer memory fills, entry level camera don't work fast enough to have any advantage.

My biggest cards are 8Gb and they record over 250 images shooting Raw.

You can ignore the word 'Professional' on the card you listed, all my cards are San Disc Extreme, if it's a no-name then it's the dregs of the cards that have been sold as branded. There are only 4 card manufacturers world wide, they all brand cards with their own name (Lexar and San Disc) if the chip meets their stringent tests, the rest get sold on for pennies to 3rd party Companies to fit the control chip and package. As with most things you get what you pay for.
