Comparing EOS 500D and 1000D.?
Im looking to buy a new camera, this will be my first DSLR. I intend to pursue photography as a serious hobby.
Is 1000D a good option compared to the 500D, if I invest some extra money in buying a tripod or maybe a better lens. In India Canon is discontinuing 450D in India ,although that too was a good option.As for 500D I am not too concerned about video photography. As for 500D I would not be able to buy any lens due to the cost. I am aware of some other differences like 10 and 15 mega pixel,no spot metering in 1000D and no wireless remote click,Digic3 vs 4.
The retail cost of 1000D is approx Rs.22,500 and 500D is Rs.36,500 (both including respective kit lens)
But on the whole is a 500D minus its video feature better that a 1000D plus a tripod/better lens?
Just forgot to mention- these are Canon DSLRs.
Go with the 1000D.. it is good for a beginner if you want to keep this as a hobby.. And plus if you don't want the video option in the 500D, you will just be spending extra money you could use in other ways.. Yes 15mp is better than 10, but how much do you want to enlarge your photos if you want to enlarge them at all?
