i can't remember which shade (if any necessary) of green a 'green screen' had to be... I am saving up for a camera, and afterward, i am going to buy a photo studio kit (comes with portable stands and two back drops http://www.amazon.com/CowboyStudio-Muslin-Backdrops-Support-System/dp/B001GO3XQM/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&s=miscellaneous&qid=1240797403&sr=8-19 ) and i was wondering if the green backdrop could be used with green screen setting...
also, are there any certain programs i have to install to get the green screen setting to work?

Yes, the first link says the background is chroma-key green ... and the light stand is at a good price ... Go for it
To use chroma key, you will need some kind of photo program like Photoshop to use the chroma key effect, but it need not be actually Photoshop. There are other chroma key programs out there. Use Yahoo Search and look for them
